An opportunity to take the love of God out into the community.

We will be raising a tent of prayer in Chatham High Street (by the Emmaus Church) and offering prayer to our local community.

Once a month we step out in faith and go Treasure Hunting.

We pray for God to give us pictures and words that lead us towards His treasure. God has introduced us to many people that He has wanted to reveal His love and power to.

We have been greatly encouraged and stirred by the testimonies coming from Bethel Church in Redding, CA and Kings Arms Church in Bedford (amongst others).

Sunday 21st March 2010

Furious Love is the sequel to Finger of God and is the story of one man’s quest to test the limits of God’s love in the darkest spiritual climates on earth.

We will be meeting at the Jasper Centre at 7.00pm to watch the worldwide premiere of this movie, hoping to finish just after 9pm.

14th to 16th May 2010

Angela brings the reality of Gods freedom and love. She has a catalytic ministry, releasing already existing potential and gifts, bringing healing and deliverance.

She then equips the church to take that freedom and love out into the community, raising the profile of evangelism, along with cross-cultural mission.

Angela previously worked in the South African Townships for 20 years, planting two churches there and helping move a community of people from shacks into their own houses.

M.F.C. Church Weekend – 25th to 27th June 2010

Being held at: Otford Manor, near Sevenoaks, Kent

This year’s church weekend together will be at Oak Hall’s historic Manor House in Otford, set on 150 acres of grounds high in the hills with breathtaking views across the Weald of Kent.

A teaching and ministry weekend with time for relaxing in between, we have access to the Terrace Lounge for meetings and a number of other rooms are available where a dedicated team of people from local Newfrontiers churches will be leading the children’s meetings.

We held a Gift Day during our morning meeting on Sunday, 7th Februrary.

Whilst we are praying and looking for another Sunday meeting place we still need to take responsibility for the general upkeep and development of the Jasper Centre. So this gift day was an opportunity to give money towards this.

Firstly, the funds raised will be used for renovation of the front of the building - doors, entrance, signage, banners, possibly car park entrance. This will give a more welcoming, bright and 'filled with life' feeling to the centre! Not to mention stopping the draft!

Secondly, the kitchen. Which is badly in need of updating, especially with more catering and events that we are running. We have also run 'The Jasper Cafe' once as a pilot and with plans to continue this in 2010, a well functioning kitchen is essential.

Please pray and consider your part following on from this day.

Please make cheques payable to Medway Family Church and mark cash gifts in an envelope as gift aid can be claimed which adds the tax back onto every gift given. You are welcome to put I.O.U's in for your own commitment and pay in the coming weeks. Sozo is a ministry tool, developed by the Bethel Church in Redding, CA, which Medway Family Church has adopted and we are now part of the Bethel Sozo UK Network.


The ministry derives its name from the Greek verb Sozo:

1(a): to save (b): to heal (c): to deliver;
2: to save a suffering one, to make well, heal, to deliver from penalties of the Messianic judgment

Sozo - A Biblical Basis

 Salvation
“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved (sozo).” Romans 10:9

 Healing
“But Jesus turning and seeing her said ‘Daughter take courage your faith has made you well (sozo) and at once the woman was made well (sozo).” Matthew 9:22

 Deliverance
“And those who had seen it reported to them how the man who was demon-possessed had been made well (sozo).” Luke 8:36


The Sozo Ministry is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry in which the main aim is to get to the root of those things which are hindering the believer’s personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Once barriers are removed the believer will hear and know God better, enabling them to walk in the destiny to which they have been called.

• Sozo is an inner healing/deliverance ministry.
• Sozo is not counselling but a Spirit- led and effective way to remove deep barriers.
• Sozo finds issues quickly instead of taking along time to examine the past.
• Sozo helps heal and build our relationship with God, enable us to fulfil our destiny.

Using a range of tools and following the Holy Spirit, wounds are healed, strongholds broken, truth revealed, and “doors” to past damage are closed.

Dates for upcoming Encounter events are :

Sun, 11th April 2010 - 7pm at The Jasper Centre.

A relaxed and open environment with no particular agenda other that to encounter God together and individually. There is an emphasis on encountering, receiving, worshipping and enjoying God. Feel free to join in and stay as long as you like, join in with others as we worship together and use spiritual gifts or sit quietly by yourself and draw near to God. Use this time as a space and opportunity to meet with God.

English Language classes are taught by ESOL qualified, volunteer tutors, at E1/E2 and E3/Intermediate level.. There is also a Beginners Literacy class. Students gain tuition and practice in all aspects of English – speaking, listening, reading and writing. Whilst organised to follow an ESOL curriculum, our classes aim to be an enjoyable experience where students can expect to make new friends as well as improving their English.

Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

COME ON MY SON!!!
Most Tuesday evenings a group of men from MFC (and other local churches) join up together for a friendly match/kickabout at the 'Kicks' football development which is located at Strood Sports Centre. We play on a synthetic 3G sports pitch.

We generally have the pitch for an hour and the cost is usually £5.00 per head.
We have regular numbers every week and would really like to encourage any guests or visitors to come along and join in the fun!
